 born in Lebanon, 1980,holds a Phd, University of Granada, Spain 2016, master’s degree in telecommunications networks, University of Saint-Joseph, Lebanon 2003, and an engineering degree in computer and communication, the Lebanese University, Lebanon 2002. A senior cybersecurity professional & Educator, certified instructor for renowned IT & Cybersecurity vendors [PECB | Cisco | EC-Council | AWS], Holding CISSP, ISO/IEC 27032 (Lead Cybersecurity Manager), CEH, CyberOPs, CCNA Security. With a broad training, research and professional experience spanning more than 15 years, he earned many teaching awards from EC-Council (Hall of Fame 2021) and Cisco Networking Academy (Instructor Excellence Expert 2013-2022). Since 2004, he has developed and taught courses aligned with multi-vendor cybersecurity certifications in well-known faculties and institutions between Lebanon and Qatar. His teaching and professional experience and certifications cover: Cybersecurity Operations, Cybersecurity Management, Information security Governance, Ethical hacking, Network security, Malware Analysis and digital Forensics.  Till 2021, he worked as SOC manager in the central administration of the Lebanese university, connecting more than 70 faculties and branches, serving a community of 75k+ students and 7k+ employees. He designed a secure architecture to protect the university assets following a risk management approach, and following-up on many cybersecurity and InfoSec governance projects, at large scale, including modern solutions like NGN-Firewalls, DDoS protection, IPS, WAF, DPI solutions, Shaping, Web/email-filtering, Wireless and application level security, Cloud security (Azure, MS Office 365). Currently, he is an assistant professor in the Cybersecurity BS program at Community College of Qatar (CCQ). His training and teaching philosophy relies on simplicity, chronology, and student interaction, through real case scenarios and hands-on LAB activities based on real world experience. His current research interests cover enhancing traffic classification methods and their use in the cybersecurity field, especially for intrusion detection systems and network attack identification, where he has more than 10 publications, with best paper award in IARIA2011.
