With a proven track record in delivering impactful outcomes across diverse industries, he is dedicated to driving operational excellence and fostering innovation. Shakir is also the author of a book "Chef to Chief," which focuses on operational hazard, risk and opportunity management. Throughout his career, he has held key leadership positions, managing business portfolios worth over US$30 million with 300+ full-time employees. He has successfully implemented sales and commercial strategies, crisis management initiatives, and new market development plans. His expertise in P&L management, stakeholder relationship management, and client focus has consistently contributed to the growth and profitability of organizations. As a visionary leader, he possesses a deep understanding of business processes, systems methodologies, and tools such as Agile, Lean, and Design Thinking. He has a keen eye for detail, which enables him to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement. Leveraging his strong analytical and problem-solving skills, he has executed successful projects focused on continuous improvement and digital transformation, resulting in cost savings, increased operational efficiency, and enhanced customer satisfaction. His commitment to operational excellence has led him to launch several innovation and digitalization projects aimed at improving efficiency and bottomline performance. His educational background includes a BA (Hons) in Business Information Systems from the University of Humberside, UK, a Diploma in Computing & Information Systems from the University of Oxford, UK, and an Advance Diploma in Kitchen Operations & Restaurant Management from the International Center for Culinary Arts, UAE. He started his QHSE, SA & IT Auditing, Advisory and Training career in 1996 and since then performed over 3,000 man-days of second- & third-party audits. He has also conducted several public courses including IRCA registered Lead Auditor. He is a registered lead auditor for various management systems, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 13485, ISO 27001, and SA 8000. He currently holds Certification/Registration with PECB and Exemplar Global as Lead Auditor & Lead Trainer for Quality, Environment, Health & Safety and Information Security.  Beyond his professional endeavors, he is passionate about giving back to the community and actively contribute to social initiatives. He is an advocate for environmental sustainability and have actively participated in tree planting campaigns, beach cleanups, and awareness programs. He is also a registered blood donor with Canada Blood Services.
