Partner and Director at Pink Elephant Mexico. He´s responsible for the Information Security, Risk and Compliance business for LATAM. Jorge has a Computer Science Degree from Instituto Politécnico Nacional and he holds an MBA from the IPADE Business School. He is currently studying a PhD in Information Technology Governance at Universidad Carlos III in Madrid.   He has been an entrepreneur most of his 32 years as an IT professional and he was CIO of one of the largest Data Centers in Mexico (RedIT – currently KIO Networks) with operations in Mexico, San Diego and Latin America. He is CISA, CRISC, CISSP and ISO 27001 LA, ISO 22301 LI, ISO 38500 M and ISO 27032LM certified. He has been an active member of ISACA International and ISO Subcommittees (At ISACA he was member of the Governmental and Regulatory Agencies Board representing Latin America Region as President from 2009-2012 – At the ISO Committees he represents México at the ISO 292 and ISO 27 Subcommittees since 2012 until now).   He has been frequent speaker at Security events and shows not just in Mexico, but in many countries within the region like Chile, Perú, Costa Rica, Panamá, Colombia, among others.   He is also a professor at Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico with the Information Technology Governance Master´s Degree program and the Information Security specialty. He wrote the book “IT Governance in Mexican Enterprises” back in 2017.   He has been working in consulting and training with different companies (Pink Elephant clients in Mexico and LATAM) in Cybersecurity, Business Continuity and IT Governance  projects since 2015. Jorge developed a Cibersecurity strategy for Business Continuity Plan at Mexico Stock Exchange in 2018, as part of an integral BCP/DRP strategy for 5 enterprises of Mexico Stock Exchange. He also has participated in many Cybersecurity panels and conferences around Mexico and LATAM. He has been teaching Cybersecurity courses at Universidad Iberoamericana since 2016 until now.
