In her capacity as the Risk and Compliance Manager, Elizabeth Bemah Amankwah drives the overall Enterprise Risk Management of Omni Strategies by formulating and executing information security strategies with her extensive understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and regulations. Elizabeth leverages proficient business acumen, critical thinking skills, proactive problem-solving, and collaborative communication to identify, mitigate information security risks and give management the needed assurance that optimizes overall business objectives. Elizabeth is the driving force behind ensuring Omni Strategies maintains its ISO 27001 certification and building a culture of security in the organization by conducting insightful Security Awareness Sessions that fosters collaboration in combating the speedily evolving cybersecurity threat landscape. With solid expertise in governance, risk and compliance in the technological space, Elizabeth has engaged executive management, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to conduct IT and cybersecurity assessments and audits to test controls against policies, evaluate the effectiveness of such controls and recommend improvements to enhance business resilience. Elizabeth is a Certified ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, One Trust Privacy Professional and a PECB Certified Trainer. She is an industry professional member of Women in Cybersecurity (WiCyS), a member of Innovation Women speaking network and a mentor of WiCyS West Africa Affiliate. She is passionate about mentoring that impacts the younger generation, empowering women to take up roles in cybersecurity and leaving an indelible mark in all spheres of her life.
